James E. Larson is of counsel to Castro & Pal Abogados, practicing in the area of Intellectual Property, and in particular patent prosecution.
Mr. Larson has a Bachelors of Science degree in Audio Technology from the American University in Washington D.C. He is an US attorney having been admitted to practice law in Florida in 1998 and having been admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in 1994 as a registered patent agent and in 1998 as a registered patent attorney.
Mr. Larson has written more than five hundred US patent applications in the areas of electronics, software, acoustics, optics, mechanics, medical devices and business methods.
He has been actively filing PCT patent applications since 1995.
Mr. Larson has negotiated numerous license and technology transfer agreements and provided infringement opinions to clients while practicing in the State of Florida.
Further, he has litigated patent and trademark infringement cases in the US Federal District Courts and contract disputes in the Florida Courts.
Mr. Larson is not admitted to practice law in Costa Rica.
